RBLC - Objectives
1. Stock useful, high quality up to date resources, both book and non-book materials which cover the breadth of the curriculum and allow for different learning abilities, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
2. Provide materials to enable members of staff to plan and deliver the curriculum in respect of research and extension topics.
3. Promote reading for pleasure through: class reading boxes; Fiction For Fun and breakfast and lunchtime reading groups.
4. Provide access for independent or small group research during lesson time, at lunchtimes and after school.
5. Encourage independent learning by providing useful, easily followed `signposting' in R.B.L.C.
6. Give students the opportunity to become involved in the organization of R.B.L.C. and accept responsibilities as Student Librarians.
