All students are expected to behave in a self-disciplined and orderly way in R.B.L.C.
Class only enters with the teacher's permission.
All bags and coats are left in the cloakroom area, bags on floor, and coats on hooks.
All valuables to be taken into work areas, e.g. money and keys. For security purposes once this is done no students should be in the cloakroom area without supervision.
All students should sit at a table. The easy chairs are only to be used at lunchtimes and during English private reading lessons.
Only the teacher librarian or student monitors are allowed behind the issue desk.
No eating or drinking is allowed in the R.B.L.C.
Any student who is unable to work quietly and sensibly should be removed from others to work on his/her own.
At the end of a lesson: -
All books used during the lesson to be left neatly on the issue desk.
Litter put in bin in the soft seating area.
Chairs underneath tables
A table at a time dismissed to collect belongings and line up near the door.
At lunchtimes students who cannot conform to R.B.L.C. rules will be asked to leave. Persistent offenders will have library privileges removed for a period of initially one week.
